Providing great quality Cuban food has always been a tradition for the Rosales family.

It all began in the early 70s when Luciano Rosales and his family immigrated to the United States. Luciano worked his way up at many Cuban restaurants and Spanish restaurants in the Miami area.

In 1985 Luciano opened his first Cuban restaurant in Hollywood, Florida. He enjoyed many years of success at this restaurant but wanted a change.

Seeing the opportunity to bring the tastes of Cuba and Latin American cuisine to everyone, they moved to Alpharetta in 2006 and opened Mambos Cafe.

America loves Cuban food, and at Mambo’s Cafe we are delighted to bring the taste of Cuba in a casually elegant atmosphere.

Cuban comfort food

Mambo’s Cafe has brought the simple traditions of Cuban comfort food to elegant heights at their new Alpharetta location. Each member of my family has unique tastes and Mambo’s Cafe was able to satisfy us all with expertly prepared fresh seafood, delicious stewed favorites and savory items from the grill.

They have an impressive menu selection for lunch and dinner and serve ample portions that will satisfy the biggest appetite. I enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere and look forward to coming back soon.

A fairly new addition to the Alpharetta restaurant scene, Mambo’s deserves high praise for their food, service and decor. I ordered the mariquitas (thinly sliced plantains cooked until crisp, served with mojo sauce), tres leches cake, mango juice and a mojito.

The mojito was one of the best I’d ever had and mango juice tasted like someone stuck a straw in a ripe mango, it was great.

My family and I stopped in for lunch today for the first time to check it out. Great food. As a recent transplant from Miami, I’m picky when it comes to Cuban food but this place was fantastic.
